After much deliberation and planning we are thrilled to launch Bridge Sustainability. The name of our company is a nod to 'bridge' people who connect concepts, people and ideas across industries and sectors. Similarly, our goal is to facilitate a connection between the current business environment to the ambitions of UN Sustainable Development Goals.
The world has already arrived at the 27th annual COP conference, and yet governments and industry are still grossly behind on implementing the changes necessary to achieve the targets that would arrest global warming at 1.5 C degrees above pre-industrial levels.
This failure is not surprising as companies and governments are often at a loss as to how to achieve these goals. There are numerous sustainability certifications, from ISO to GRI to B Corp, and the pursuit of these can be both costly and time consuming. A perceived lack of finances to "go green" often holds companies back. Confusion as to where to start making sustainability changes is also a major factor. We understand these concerns!
